This week (Originally featured on February 11th) on Behind the Brush, we will be chatting with Beauty Professional and Branding Strategist, Shay Bailey (@shaybbeautiful) ~ Her work has been featured in Ebony, Essence, Black Enterprise, Jet Magazine, MTV, Who’s Who, and NFL half-time shows.
Shay has been a beauty professional since 2004 and a creative for as far back as she can remember. She started as a freelance makeup artist while earning her bachelors degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. After graduating, she entered the beauty industry full-time. Along with freelancing for various magazines and photographers, she also built a celebrity clientele and worked with LaChae Cosmetics until 2005. In 2006, Shay began a thirteen year career with M.A.C. Cosmetics. While at M.A.C., she held various roles, ending her career in 2019 as a member of the regional leadership team.
She is the founder of Shay B. Beautiful, which offers business and beauty solutions rooted in innovation, influence, and inclusion using their Beautyprint® Services.
